Soap Heart

The assignment was for my sculpture class in my senior year. The assignment was to carve a 3D shape from a bar of Dial soap. It was expected, and all the examples were of organic abstract carvings, but there were no strict rules for the assignment.

I chose to carve an anatomical heart and left the aorta, arteries, and veins in relief because I was concerned about their fragility and the risk of them breaking off.
